All employees will choose healthy lifestyle behaviors and work in healthy, productive and safe environments.


To empower employees with health education and lifestyle skills that enables them to achieve their best possible physical and emotional health. CCSU will provide resources to build safe and healthy school environments.  The program will positively affect employee morale, job satisfaction and optimize personal and professional performance.



CCSU Employees Partnership with Aspire Studio

CCSU is excited to announce a partnership for CCSU employees at Essex Junction Recreation and Park’s Aspire Community Studio! CCSU employees get  $10 off  punch cards off on either the 10 or 20 class punch card for both Zumba and  the All Class Aspire Card.   Click Here for the regular  rates.  The punch card will allow you the freedom to pick and choose what class you would like to attend.  CCSU employees must go to EJRP Monday-Friday between 8AM and 4PM with their ID badge to purchase the punch card.  Aspire Community Studio is now located at Maple Street Park, 75 Maple Street.  This spring they converted their former maintenance garage into a beautiful 1,200 square foot studio.  The new space has a full wall of mirrors, plenty of windows for great natural lighting, air conditioning, and convenient parking.  They aspire to find great instructors, offer a wider variety of classes, provide easy access to their programs, and make the programs as affordable as possible.

As a CCSU employee, you  are eligible to participate in the  Vermont Education Health Initiative (VEHI) PATHpoints program.   The PATHpoints program is a comprehensive, annual, web-based wellness program with amazing tools designed to improve  your overall health and  to encourage you to make those (sometimes difficult) lifestyle changes that will help you become healthier.   All programs are coordinated through your own personal account on-line.

GET HEALTHIER, EARN POINTS AND GET PRIZES……. PATH will be awarding prizes to the top point earners in our Chittenden Central Supervisory Union.  Here is how it works: 1. Continue to earn PATHpoints by participating in all of these exciting  components below! 2. In July, 2017, PATH will  determine  who earned 200 points or more by June 30, 2017. 3.   2. Earn Points: You can start earning points August 1, 2016 by participating in the following programs:
    • Online Healthy Life Survey Assess your health using the personal survey, upon completion, celebrate your successes or note areas of concern. Open from 10/1 to 3/31  ………. earn 50 pts…. by 10/31 extra 10 points
    • Wellness Leader Sponsored Events. VEHI will award points for no more than four wellness leader sponsored events per school. Know your Numbers would count as one of the four.     • Be a PAL. Any school employee can be a Physical Activity Leader. This activity must meet the criteria outlined on the PAL overview. Please click here for overview……..50 pts
    • Know Your Numbers. Visit your healthcare provider annually to have your blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar assessed. Complete VEHI’s “Know Your Numbers” form and obtain the necessary signature from your provider and turn the form in to Sandy Emery by 6/1 to earn points. Click here for the form…….25 pts
    • PATH Adventure(10 pts for registering, 3pts/wk, 10 pts for finishing)………… 50 pts max

    • Online Peer Coaching Course  Find a peer, set individual goals and embark on this 8-week online course of mutual support…………50 pts upon completion
    • Work with a Health Progress Coach  Work with a coach over the phone to find your best thinking around your health and lifestyle goals………..(10 pts per call) 50 pts
    • PATH Community Record your exercise online using this year-round tracking tool. Gain support from other Community members, join a team, track progress among teams or track other goals such as eating well, flexibility and character strengths………..Earn up to 120 PATHpoints (60 pts. per 6 month cycle)
    • Work with Invest EAP Get in-person, confidential, short-term  counseling   legal and finance advice, assessments, and resource and referral information about a broad range of life and workplace related issues…….. 50 pts
    • Calendar Puzzlers  Read the safety information and enjoy puzzler tests. This is a great opportunity to brush up on seasonal skill for staying healthy and injury-free…….5 pts per month

Chittenden Central Supervisory Union is happy to provide you with an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through INVEST EAP. EAP provides all employees and their family members with confidential, short-term counseling, assessment, and resource and referral information on a variety of life and work issues. INVEST EAP also provides supervisors and managers with training and consultation on different approaches to effectively resolve difficult employee issues that can benefit the employee.
